This is a blog about the board games my son Tyler and I play, and humorous stories when applicable. We will both give reviews from our perspectives. Spoiler alert: I mostly lose, no matter what the game is.

Pandemic : Betrayal Edition
Before I started in the hobby about 3 years ago, my best friend always talked about Pandemic. It is by far his favorite game. One night, at a mutual friend's house, he brought it and we decided to give it a try. After he explained the rules, I excused myself and went to the bathroom. When I came back, the board was set up and they asked me if I wanted to start the game. I was more than happy to do so, and played my turn out with little fanfare. Mike and Mike both played, and when it was my turn again, I drew the epidemic card. Bummer!

Review - ESSEN The Game: SPIEL'13 (2014) - Geek Attitude Games
The Blurb:
ESSEN the Game is a strategy game where each player is a visitor at the International Game Fair of Essen. With your wishlist, face the crowd and make your way to the stands of your favorite publishers. However, beware that games availability is limited. To achieve your goals, you have to manage your budget and encumbering. The number of games that you carry will reduce your moves in the fair. You will need to come back to the parking lot to store your purchases in your car before getting back to the fair in search of that special game.
