Blind Accessible Board Games

When I opened my copy of new copy of Arabian Pots, I noticed there was a braille card inside.




That made me remember a Kickstarter I backed in early 2014 for the 64oz game store. I have never played games with a blind gamer, but I think it's great that Richard and Emily have taken the time to make a difference in the game community. here is a little background from the website on them:

Richard Gibbs is a life skills teacher who has a tendency to design games instead of doing things to better society. He is the founder and lead designer here at 64 Oz. Games. He loves euro style strategy games and creates games with a sizable sense of humor.

The Wife Unit or “Emily Gibbs” is a far smarter and more web savvy player in the 64 Oz. Games Family. She is a teacher of Blind students. She was unwillingly thrown into the games arena by her husband.

Both Richard and Emily are dedicated to making great games everyone, including the blind and visually impaired, can play. 

Most of our wives come into this hobby unwillingly. Any support by them is appreciated.
