This is a blog about the board games my son Tyler and I play, and humorous stories when applicable. We will both give reviews from our perspectives. Spoiler alert: I mostly lose, no matter what the game is.

O Canada!
Hello friends,
I am here to thank you for all the support you have given me on this blog. When I started this blog in 2016 I had no idea it would lead to anything. I was just a fan of board games and hoped it would gain a little quality time with my friends and family (and mostly my son). As it turns out this blog became an opportunity. I am taking my talents to south beach Ottawa. More specifically I have join the team at TO DIE FOR GAMES. They have welcomed more with open arms and I am grateful for the opportunity. I am going to focus 100% on my work with them as social media manager, but that would put this blog on hiatus. I might post here in there but I will be posting weekly on TDFG. Thanks you so much for following my progress as I have tried to find my way.

5-15-2017 - Review - FUSE - Renegade Game Studios
I have read a lot of positive reviews for the game FUSE, and moreover people talked about using the free timer app. I am not opposed to app based things for board games but i had yet to find a game that integrated the app in such a way that it enhanced the game play. A dicey co-op huh? Well today i got to see if that streak would be broken.

5-1-2017 - Review - Parade (2007)
“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”

4-24-2017 - An interview with Jason Miceli of Geek Fever Games!
While looking around on The Game Crafter i stumbled upon a game that was a finalist in one of the contests called trick legacy. It really intrigued me as something me and Tyler would play. This lead me to the website for Geek Fever Games! I asked Jason Miceli if he had some time to talk about that game and another game that right now is just crushing it on kickstarter of theirs called Dead Man's Doubloon. He graciously obliged.

4-9-2017 - Champions of the Galaxy (1986) - Review
When i was a teenager i was obsessed with wrestling. I use to get all the magazines and watch anything that was on TV. In the back of those magazine was an add to buy a game called "Champions of the Galaxy." A rpgish futuristic take on wrestling. Well over 20 years later this game is still alive and kicking so me and Ty gave it a try for old times sake.

4-3-2017 - Qwirkle (2006) - Review
Ever since we saw this game on tabletop we have gone back and forth on if we should buy it or if it is gong to get played or not. I was able to pick up a copy at a local thrift shop.... and it sat on the shelf.... for a long long time....until (echo effect) now now now.

3-20-17 - World Monuments (2016) Queen Games - Review
If you tell me that you have a game made by Queen Games you want me to play, i'm in. The components are always great quality so i am always willing to give their games a shot. Recently during an amazon sale i was able to grab a copy and check it out with Tyler.

3/13/17 - eBay Electronic Talking Auction Game (2001) - Review
Me and my oldest daughter use to play this game a long time ago (she is in her 20's now so you can debate if she is still a kid) and we enjoyed it. The 3 of us decided to break this out and see if it still holds up.

2/27/17 - Interview with Mandi Hutchinson aka boardgamerpinup
In the instagramverse (yeah i just made that up) I made friends with Mandi Hutchinson. She was always generous with her time when i started my blog. You may know her from To Die For Games on youtube, but did you also know she's a makeup artist? Once again she was generous with her time, but this time the topic was her.
